說明

The Observatoire wallon des Ambroisies (OWA) is a structure run by the Biodiversisty, Ecosystems and Landscape laboratory at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (ULiège) and funded by the Cellule permanente Environnement-Santé (SPW). It monitors and coordinates the management of invasive alien species of the genus Ambrosia sp. in the Walloon Region. Data are collected either directly from observers by e-mail/telephone/social networks, with photo validation, or via various encoding platforms (Observations.be; DEMNA surveys (SPW); iNaturalist; Pl@ntNET). Whenever possible, OWA contacts observers to verify presence, expand the dataset and organize a visit to initiate management. The OWA dataset is therefore fully compiled with data from participatory science.
