"Contrat de Rivière - RIPARIAS: detection and management of aquatic invasive alien species" is a presence/absence dataset focusing on freshwater invasive alien species in the Senne basin, since spring 2021.
data are derived from the monitoring of a set of managed or surveilled water points (ponds, rivers) where the progress/elimination of a set of invasive species is followed up.
The dataset includes absence records and should be considered with caution. Each event corresponds to a complete survey of the site in search of a set of targeted IAS.
The dataset also include had hoc presence observations of other introduced or native species that are made on site.

Absence records are only available for these target species (as their search is part of the protocol). During the visits, the entire site is prospected looking for a set of target IAS. The effort is adapted to the size of the site. For the search of invasive crayfish, traps are also set.
